ESSENTIALS Express+ is the primer program to help you navigate board and committee cycles, disclosure requirements, entity management, ESG, annual meetings, and more.

The two-day program is for new corporate secretaries and governance professionals who want to learn all there is to know about the processes and best practices for their new role. It is also a good refresher for those who want to fine tune their skills. Each session builds on the previous content, preparing you and your board for success.

Who attends ESSENTIALS Express+

Attendees come from across the United States from all types of industries. The subject matter attracts corporate secretaries, in house counsel, paralegals, law firm partners and many other professionals who are employed by large, small, and mid-cap companies, private, and nonprofits.



Continuing Legal Education

Many states regularly grant continuing legal or other professional education credits to attendees. The Society has contracted with CEU Institute to manage the CLE process for our attendees. Applications will be made to all states requested. The program is often eligible for CPA or paralegal credit. Please note, we do not apply to NASBA for credit, but we can provide a certificate of attendance which can be submitted to your jurisdiction. We can also complete any form you provide to verify your participation. CCGP credit is also available.

This is an in-person only event. There is no virtual option.

The Society will adhere to Minneapolis, MN Covid-19 protocols and follow Hyatt’s safety and standards. In keeping with the Society's duty to care and responsibility as host of this program, we strongly encourage attendees and speakers to be tested for COVID prior to traveling to this event. Individuals who test positive should stay home. If you're unable to attend, you will still have access to the program materials or you can transfer your registration to a colleague who is able to attend
