As scheduled, the Senate Banking Committee met today and voted favorably to confirm Jay Clayton's SEC Chair nomination. The vote was 15-8 in favor, with all of the Republicans and three Democrats: Jon Tester (D-MT), Mark Warner (D-VA), and Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) voting in favor, and the rest of the Democrats on the Committee voting against. Clayton's nomination now goes to the Senate floor for a full Senate vote.
