Of interest to both companies and investors, Davis Polk discussed a recent release from Sustainalytics indicating that, as of February, Yahoo Finance began featuring numerical and graphic ESG scores for over 2,000 public companies via a separate "Sustainability" tab on each company's Yahoo page. The release notes that the ESG information will be expanded to cover 28,000 ETFs and mutual funds. Each company's Sustainability page also identifies its involvement in products, services, and business activities purportedly commonly used for screening purposes such as alcoholic beverages, adult entertainment, gambling, tobacco, and animal testing - as well as its "highest controversy level" relative to its peer average.
