EY's new report: "Five Ways to Enhance Board Oversight of Culture" suggests a 5-step framework for boards to effect their oversight of the corporate culture, inclusive of promoting culture-corporate strategy alignment and management accountability for cultivating the desired culture, understanding and monitoring the state of play, and walking the talk as respects the board's culture - which serves as a model and sends a message to management and the workforce generally, as well as investors and other stakeholders. The report includes a series of thoughtful questions for the board to consider that may be used to facilitate its discussion on this topic in the boardroom.
