State Street announced the results to date of its Fearless Girl board gender diversity campaign. The announcement was made on the third anniversary of the campaign's launch in 2017 in conjunction with International Women's Day. Of 1,384 companies targeted by State Street globally, 681 added at least one female director as of February 2020; in the US specifically, 495 companies of 928 targeted companies added at least one female director.
This table depicts the board gender diversity impact of State Street's engagement with boards that previously lacked women directors:

As reported previously, beginning this year, State Street will vote against the entire Nom/Gov Committee (not just the Committee chair) in the US and its other target markets if board gender diversity concerns at a target company exist for four consecutive years and the company is "unable to engage in productive dialogue."
