ICGN's "The Board of Directors & Climate Change" explains why many boards are allegedly lagging on their climate governance practices relative to current investor and other stakeholder expectations, and how boards and investors can move the needle on climate change disclosure and action to help facilitate positive change. Questions aimed at bolstering investor stewardship on this topic are also instructive for company management and boards, including as respects board oversight structure, director education and training, disclosure/reporting, and engagement preparation.

See the World Economic Forum's "How to Set Up Effective Climate Governance on Corporate Boards: Guiding principles and questions," which include the eight climate governance principles suggested for board adoption; our recent report: "Climate Change: Board Toolkit"; and additional information & resources on our Sustainability page.
