Investor initiative Climate Action 100+ announced that its investor signatories have filed 37 climate-related shareholder proposals at North American focus companies as of February 16 seeking disclosure of climate-related risks, alignment of business plans with the goals of the Paris Agreement, and transparency around corporate lobbying practices that influence climate and energy regulations. The release flags five "key proposals" the initiative wants other investors to consider based on their relevance to its central goals. The 37 proposals are a subset of the reportedly 126 climate-related proposals filed at North American companies thus far this proxy season.
