The Minority Corporate Counsel Association launched its Diversity Scorecard to assist companies in identifying diverse law firms and to assist law firms in benchmarking their DE&I gaps and opportunities. The scorecards are based on data collected from the MCCA Law Firm Diversity Survey (participating firms here). The scorecard is organized into “Categories,” “Elements,” and “Key Components,” with the four main categories consisting of: (i) demographics, (ii) recruitment, (iii) attrition, and (iv) promotion relevant to the law firm’s DE&I practices. The release lists in-house counsel signatories who have committed to ask their law firms to provide their MCCA scorecard and to use the scorecards in their evaluation of firms’ DE&I profile. Additional companies can support the scorecard and become a signatory by contacting MCCA at MAP@mcca.com.
