The Conference Board's newly released "Sustainability Disclosure Practices – 2022 Edition" (in collaboration with Heidrick & Struggles and Esgauge) reveals key benchmarking data for the Russell 3000, S&P 500, and S&P Midcap 400, based on an analysis of public company E&S disclosures in annual reports, proxy statements, sustainability/CSR reports, and company websites. Coverage includes disclosure on climate change risk, GHG emissions, biodiversity policies, water risks, supply chain practices, human rights policies, board and workplace diversity, and external sustainability assurance - in many cases, broken out by company size, index, and/or industry.

The accompanying interactive online dashboard includes data on more than 90 metrics across these topics:

  • Environmental Practices: Atmospheric Emissions | Energy | Waste & Material Use | Water | Environmental Policy & Compliance
  • Social & Human Capital Management Practices: Charitable & Political Contributions | DE&I | Employee Health & Safety | Labor Practices & Supply Chain
  • ESG Reporting Practices: Use of GRI Guidelines | Report Verification & Assurance | UN PRI Signatory | UN SDG Target | ESG-Linked Executive Pay

All of the online data can be filtered by index, company size, and business sector.
