Further to our report in last week’s Society Alert regarding the extended filing deadline for Form 144, the SEC Division of Corporation Finance reiterated the March 20 effective date for the extended deadline and technical amendments included in the corresponding release and the April 13 effective date for the new Form 144 electronic filing requirement. The SEC also announced the forthcoming withdrawal (as of April 13) of its June 2020 COVID-triggered statement that permitted email filings of Forms 144.
