Proxy Season Shareholder Proposal Review

Sullivan & Cromwell's "2023 Proxy Season Review: Part I" includes a plethora of data on 2023 proxy season shareholder proposals for meetings through June 30, 2023, and year-over-year proposal trends, as well as a recap of no-action requests and responses.

Noteworthy year-over-year trends are shown here:

John Chevedden continued to be the most prolific proponent by a wide margin—submitting 146 proposals, or approximately 18% of all submitted proposals, with As You Sow, Ken Steiner, and Jim McRitchie/Myra Young, individually and collectively (as co-filers with other organizations and individuals), rounding out the top four, having submitted 30% of all proposals during this time frame.
