“Governing a relevant and effective internal audit function” from Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness discusses the importance and substance of the new Global Internal Audit Standards (see here) with a focus on the role of the audit committee in the Internal Audit function’s successful adoption and implementation of the new standards. Released in January 2024 (we reported here), the new standards become effective January 9, 2025.
